Cara grew up in Iowa, surrounded by farmland. She belonged to 4-H and FFA as a child and showed sheep for several years. Cara moved to Maine as an adult and started working as a veterinary assistant while attending school in 2007. She received an Associate of Science Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2009 from the University College of Bangor and has worked as a licensed veterinary technician with experience in emergency veterinary medicine from Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic and Maine Veterinary Referral Center. Cara enjoys working closer to home now. She resides in Oakland with her husband, Peter, and three children.
Education: Graduated with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from the UMA-Bangor Campus.
